Timothy R. McGibboney

Tim McGibboney is an associate in the firm’s New Orleans office. Mr. McGibboney received his Juris Doctor from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University, where he graduated cum laude. During his time in law school, he served as Senior Editor on the Journal of Energy Law and Resources and earned multiple CALI Awards for Excellence (highest grade). Mr. McGibboney received his B.S. and Masters in Accounting from Louisiana State University with a specialization in Forensic Accounting. Prior to practicing law, Mr. McGibboney worked in Dallas, TX as a tax consultant for one of the most prominent international consulting firms. As a consultant, Mr. McGibboney focused on innovative ways to free capital to allow for client growth and investment. Before joining Sullivan Stolier & Schulze LLC, Mr. McGibboney’s legal experience included both small boutique and national firms.

As a member of Sullivan Stolier’s Health Care practice, Tim assists healthcare companies and investors with complex regulatory and business issues associated with transactional health law matters ranging from mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures to corporate governance, Stark, Anti-Kickback Statute, and False Claims Act issues, Medicare/Medicaid billing and reimbursement issues, transactional taxation and other compliance issues for health care providers. His experience also includes multiple acquisitions of hospitals and health care facilities.

Mr. McGibboney, as a member of the American Health Lawyers Association’s Business Law and Governance Practice Group, monitors current events and drafts corporate governance alerts for all members nationwide.
