Mary Roberts
Mary Roberts joined the Lafayette office of Sullivan Stolier Schulze, LLC in 2023 as a member of the Fraud and Abuse practice group, while also assisting in case work covering the many different healthcare practice areas at the firm.
Before joining Sullivan Stolier Schulze, LLC, Mary was a federal prosecutor in the Department of Justice’s Fraud Section, practicing as a trial attorney on the Health Care Fraud Strike Force. There, she coordinated the contact, interviews, and trial preparation of witnesses, led an investigation in cooperation with HHS-OIG agents of target persons and entities, and attended Criminal Trial Advocacy seminars at the National Advocacy Center. During this time, Mary also completed a detail with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C. where she prosecuted several cases in Superior Court as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney. Prior to joining the Department, Mary was a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Renee H. Toliver at the District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
Mary received her Juris Doctor from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2021. While in law school, she was a Case Note and Comment Editor on the International Law Review and appeared in Texas state court as a student attorney with the SMU Criminal Justice Clinic.
A Lafayette native, Mary attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. She then earned her Master of Business Administration with UL Lafayette, where she worked as the Internship Coordinator for the College of Business while completing her coursework.
